Columns can be difficult to determine exactly what the "Exposed height" is below the base center. Not that it makes much difference, as being in the same ballpark will work very good.
This is because most every style base center usually is a different height.
How to replace a Gas Column
Older chairs may tend to be 45mm
62EXT50 provides lower seating for shorter users who use a 30" desk height. Choose up to a #107ACOM cylinder.
Gas Cylinder length determines length of Column and Chair height. Shorter cylinders use shorter Columns
Shorter columns (above base) do not lower chair height
Taller columns (above base) do not raise chair height
